To disable this temporarily:

Go to the Security tab at Configuration > System Settings > General Settings.
Check Disable Session IP Check.
Click Save Changes.
If you cannot access the WHMCS Admin Area to view this page, run the following query against the WHMCS database using a tool like phpMyAdmin:

UPDATE `tblconfiguration` SET `value` = 'on' WHERE `setting` = 'DisableSessionIPCheck';

You have to edit it before you do it so it will not be there at all. Otherwise you will need to remove WHMCS and rebuild it with the right info.

thanks for that! I found a way to do it through panel.

A) First edit Licence.php in /whmcs/vendor/whmcs/whmcs-foundation/lib
B) Go to https://domain.xx.xx/whmcs/admin/index.php?rp=/admin/help/license
C) Then click force update licence

Boom.



Upgrade to 8.9.0 went smoothly.
