Comment this line 68-71

if (\App\Utility\CategoryUtility::create_initial_category($request->purchase_code) == false) {
flash("Sorry! The purchase code you have provided is not valid.")->error();
return back();
}

Then should work.

Maybe, your previous installation is not properly nulled. you can try this file install and update both are nulled
