Why is Facebook's Page merging not working?

I have two similar pages and I am the admin of both the pages, so I wanted to combine(merge) these two pages.
I followed the steps and requested the page merge and facebook showed "Merge request successful" message and brought me back to the page I wanted to keep after the merge.
But the thing is after that days went but the pages didn't merge and facebook did not gave any response of what went wrong of anything. And I tried again and again like 4 times already but it's same.
Anyone? I need to merge these pages, help me.
