it's working I just used it for the template of Lara and it still uses the old addon, try it, only download the resource and extra of Lara to admin.

Well... Unfortunately in the most recent version the license is expired, this was the only way I was able to use it, but for now it's working fine for me this way... I hope it helps others too!

Unfortunately I didn't use this module, there was no need for it in my case, so I can't tell if it has a bug or if it's just some specific configuration...
If I had to guess, I would say that maybe Google's API version is out of date, but I'm not sure.
