Heya, even though we should keep it to Cyber- vs Cloud-panel topic in here, my thoughts about your two topics are
1. LSCache is LiteSpeed's way of page caching like Apache's mod_cache, nginx-php-fpm, and Varnish page speed caching. The answer to which is better to use, should be given by the project requirements and/or client's expectations. Low maintenance and simplicity are many times key factors, so check the requirements.
2. One can't prevent DDOS. They will either hit you or not. If they do, then it is a matter of the whole server provider infrastructure to mitigate the attack and not of the HTTP server task alone. No HTTP server task would stand a chance alone against a 300Gbit/s botnet DDOS. Besides, if one is so important to be a DDOS worth, then the word free shouldn't be a software prerequisite.

Cheers amigos!

So, you want to beat a stack of Nginx + Varnish + Redis with OLS with LScache?

Well, you think that LiteSpeed stands a chance against DDoS too, so...

The actual "secret" in Cloudpanel is Varnish, not Nginx.

Then, on top of that, you have an incredibly simple panel to put this stack to work.

And...Litespeed was/is my favorite server software (without LScache).

CyberPanel is undoubtedly an excellent control panel for managing websites, but it currently lacks support for Wildcard SSL certificates.

This limitation can be particularly problematic if you're using a multi-tenancy script that requires creating subdomains regularly.

Hi so which panel do you think is suitable to run a multi-tenancy script.

sometimes unlimited is not unlimited

How many emails can I send with CyberPanel smtp server?

CyberPanel SMTP server allows unlimited number of emails per hour. However, there are some limitations such as;
  1. Domain limit
  2. Email level limit
You can use those limit to protect your domain and SMTP server from banning for spam emails. If you exceed the daily quota, you will receive a warning message stating that you exceeded the daily quota.

Check this article on Cyberpanel community for more details: https://cyberpanel.net/docs-2/4-email-limits/

I have used both. Cyberpanel is more heavyweight, cloudpanel is lightweight. Cloudpanel is relatively easy to manage and high-performing in my opinion. I have integrated 7G firewall into Nginx, I am very happy with it.

Cloudpanel does not have built in email solution, and it requeires a bit technical knowledge vs Cyberpanel. I really like the fact that Cloudpanel does not have upsell feature in their system. It also has built in backup solutions that integrates nicely with S3 providers.

Cyberpanel's openlitespeed is very good especially pairing it with WP plugin LScache for fast loading website. It has built in email server, and using it is quite easy. If you need full server backup, you'll need to pay for full edition.

While Cyberpanel technically offers a "reseller" feature to create multiple users, practically speaking, using it for web hosting resale is not a good idea. The free Open Litespeed web server included with Cyberpanel needs to be restarted whenever changes are made to .htaccess files. So if you plan to resell hosting you would likely need to purchase the Enterprise Litespeed. That paid upgrade IMO would diminish the "free" appeal of using Cyberpanel.
